What Does the Rhodes Scholarship Cover?
The following are the costs covered by the Rhodes Scholarship to study at the University of Oxford:
- The Rhodes Scholarship covers tuition fees at Oxford University
- The Rhodes Scholarship provides an annual stipend, which is around 18,000 pounds a year – with this, Scholars can take care of their living expenses and accommodation
- Rhodes Scholarship will cover the application fee needed to study at the University of Oxford
- It also covers the cost for a student visa
- It covers all health expenses for international students
- The Rhodes Trust will cover two economy class flight tickets for your journey to study in the United Kingdom and back to your country when you are done with your studies
- Scholars will also receive an allowance to settle down in the United Kingdom on arrival for their studies

Excellence, Merit and Diversity

A recent op-ed accused the Trust of allowing racial preferences to override our selection criteria of excellence of intellect and character and potential for positive impact. In response, Warden Kiss affirmed that our selectors are directed to choose the strongest candidates and instructed not to favour diversity of any kind.
