Sign in to Google for Nonprofits, click on “Active Products” then click on “Get Started” under Google Ad Grants, then complete the assessment form. Finally, click “Activate” to submit your Nonprofit for review.

Step 3 – Begin a Successful Google Ad Grants Campaign

Immediately your activation request has been approved, you need to accept the email invitation to your Google Ad Grants account, after that, you can set up your first ads campaign!

After you qualify for Google Ads Grant, you will receive a monthly budgeted grant to run advertisements for free on Google. Your ads will show up on Google search when people look for information related to your Non-profit.

To attain success with the Google Ads Grant, you must maintain a secure, high-quality website and build great digital marketing campaigns that support your mission.

Your Google for Non-profits account works together with your Google Ads Grant account to give you access to Google tools and resources.

To get started, navigate to Google.com/Nonprofits and confirm that your organization is eligible for an account. Then request for a Google for Nonprofits account. If you have multiple Google accounts, sign in with the one you use for your organization. You will need to answer a few questions to determine your eligibility. When you submit your request for an account, Google verifies your organization through a partner called TechSoup.

If you already have a Google for Nonprofits account, you can continue, if not, you will need to answer a few questions to get verified. In order to verify your organization, you will need to enter the main e-mail address associated with your organization and website. Select the primary category and sub-category that best describes your organization. Then enter your non-profit I.D, fill out your contact details and agree to terms and conditions.

It may take a couple of weeks for your organization to be reviewed. Google for Nonprofits will e-mail you to let you know that the process is complete.

Activate Ad Grants with your Google for Nonprofits account. The activation is your application to the Google Ad Grants program. When you have submitted your activation, the Google Ad Grants team will review your activation request, if it is approved, you will receive an e-mail with an invitation to your new account.

Next, complete an Ad Grants eligibility form to get started with your grant. The Ad Grants eligibility form follows the Ad Grants program to identify and support your organization. Please provide the most complete and accurate information that you can in the form.

When your eligibility form is complete, return to the Google for Nonprofits homepage, verify that you have completed the form and activate your grant to submit your organization for review, allow a few business days for Google to review your activation, then check your e-mail, accept the invitation to access your new Ad Grants account.

You will also need to accept the billing profile that you have received in a separate e-mail.

  1. Navigate to google.com/nonprofits
  2. Request a Google for Nonprofits account
  3. Complete the Ad Grants eligibility form
  4. Submit your activation
  5. Accept the Ad Grants invitation
