Today News Africa – Analyst and Writing Fellow (With Grant) Remote Internship

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS INTERNSHIP

Job description

Today News Africa is an organization based in the United States of America (USA).

Today News Africa is recruiting students and new professionals (national and international) interested in building a writing portfolio of current events focused on US foreign policy and especially US-Africa relations.

The post is 100% remote and no experience is required. We prefer that you have the ability to read current events, research for sources, write at least 8 paragraphs on a current event and submit at least one article for publication per day (or every other day).

You can get an idea of the writing format at www.todaynewsafrica.com

If selected, you’ll be working with other teammates and senior writers on SLACK. The assignment desk will give out writing assignments and also suggest coverage of virtual events. You’ll have options of things to write about and you can also communicate interest or focus if you have a specific area or field you are passionate about.

The title you’ll have is Analyst and Writing Fellow. The dates of the program are June 1st to August 31st. The average time we’d like to see our fellows writing and posting to SLACK is about 2 hours per day and 5 days per week, but feel free to spend more time if you have it and are ambitious.

There are no set working hours so you can participate when you have time and according to your time zone. All articles will be posted into SLACK as a word document so having access to WRD will be a big plus!

Once you’re on the team, we will ask for your picture and bio to add to your articles for full author credit. We will also promote your work across our social media and on the main news web page to help you boost your visibility.

The program is non-paid. However, there will be a small education grant stipend awarded to each participant at the conclusion of the internship in the amount of $300.

Please visit our social media pages and our main news web page to learn more about us.

To Apply:

Contact todaynewsafrica@gmail.com and attach or copy and post your resume along with a small note on your writing interests.

We will reply to each and every person who contacts us within one week or less.

I was just seeking this information for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy that don’t rank this type of informative sites in top of the list. Generally the top web sites are full of garbage.
